I'm Back
Check out the dates...
It's been a year since i last blogged...
Seriously...
I do miss blogging...
Felt so empty not doing it...
I've been really busy with school and all...
Or am i getting lazy...?
I think it's both...
Haha...
Many new people i've met...
Many new places i've been to...
Many new experiences i've felt...
And i want to write it all down...
Most importantly it's to keep a record of the good times...
Fear not for summer break has started...
For starters i've updated the blog a little...
Changed a new music video...
Pink - Who Knew...
Got sick of the Yahoo jingle cause of the broken link...
Many of ya must have been irritated too...
And i've updated the links of some of my favourite celebs...
Check it out people...

School Summary
School started without me realizing...
Then i was packed up with school work and projects...
Projects after projects...
But i still managed to have some fun here and there...
Thanks to my gang of SMU friends...
The first week started out with Damai Secondary School gathering @ Suntec Marche...
It's nice to meet up with old classmates...
Did alot of catching up...
Started getting colored braces...
Missed classes for a certain course due to my holiday hangover mood...
That on the first week of school...
So unforgivable...
Attended a wedding in Week 4...
One of my Dad's cousin's son got married...
They had a really cheesy theme...
Shanghai night...
The guys were wearing suspenders that made them look like gangsters from that era...
Gave me the temptation to go pull them hoping it will go smacking back onto the guy's back...
And the girls were wearing cheongsums that made them look like courtesans...
In Week 5...
Alvin & Vivienne's Birthday Dinner Celebration @ Clarke Quay Hooters...
Ya do know what Hooters are famous for right other than their waitresses wearing tiny tops and shorts...
Their chicken wings of course... Haha...
And their special special performance from the birthday people...
So funny watching Alvin & Vivienne putting on make up and performing with hula hoops for everyone in the restaurant...
Got a lot closer to Meiqi with the on and off shopping trips...
Bought Valentine cookies for the SMU gang in Week 7...
They transferred the heart stickers that i pasted on the cookie packaging onto their laptops...
Now everyone in the group has heart stickers on their laptops...
The guys in the gang were sweet too...
They ordered roses and had a live guitarist play song dedication for us girls in school...
Just like last year...
I think it has becomed a tradition...
They sang along with the guitar player...
They sounded really good like they have rehearsed it many times...
But actually they haven't...
Then Chinese New Year came...
Reunion dinner, visiting relatives that ya only get to see like once a year and collecting ang baos...
The older ya get the lesser ang baos ya get...
The lesser ang baos ya get means ya are getting older...
Makes me more and more reluctant to celebrate Chinese New Year year after year...
Watched 'The Matrimony' movie with Benjamin & Meiqi one school morning before class started that day...
A horror flick about love that transcends after death...
I love their tagline...
'How much will ya do for love...?' in a eerie kinda way...
Visited little Sarah...
Sarah's mum gave birth to another girl...
She's like so small...
I think i should compliment Sarah's Dad...
He's like the best husband i've seen so far taking care of the wife after she gave birth...
Tell me how many husbands would volunteer cleaning up baby's poo and puke night after night...?
Maybe i haven't seen enough good men around me yet...
Dinner with SMU people @ VivoCity Sushi Tei to celebrate our own version of Chinese New Year...
We had 'Yu Sheng Lou Hei'...
Messed up the restaurant with food everywhere besides on the table...
Next stop was karaoking...
Got to know a few new people...
Victor, ShiHui & Yixia...
New members to the group...
Victor & ShiHui can sing very well...
Victor somewhat sounds like Jacky Cheung...
He kinda works @ International Plaza Party World...
So we would always go to that particular branch...
There was once he managed to help us get a VIP room that could accommodate 20 people...
It had 3 screens...
1 for song choosing and the other 2 for singing...
They also had a pool table in that VIP room...
One fine day, my muse came...
Felt and thought of writing a story...
'The Story of a Girl, an Umbrella and a Rainy Day'
Sounds interesting doesn't it...?
If only i had the time...
In Week 10...
Managed to go swimming and exercised a little...
Benjamin & Ziyuan's Birthday Dinner Celebration @ Clarke Quay Brewerks...
Brewerks serves many different kinds of beer...
Too bad i'm not a beer fanatic...
But Marcus is...
Should have seen the expression on his face...
It was the first time i've ever tried blue cheese in my life there...
Taste horrible actually but i could still take it...
Wondered why people make such exotic food...
Then it was karaoking again...
Reached home at 4plus in the morning...
Doing that always eats into my Sundays...
I have to sleep in and recuperate to prepare for Mondays...
Met up with Sheryl...
Finally found her after disappearing for such a long time...
Learnt that she was closing her shop at Bugis The Edge...
The developer is trying to chase away all the shops there to make room for the new foodcourt...
She's like trying to clear all the stock in her shop by selling everything at 50% off...
She has another branch at Far East Plaza but she's like so reluctant to move all her stock there...
Furthermore, the other branch is much smaller...
I seriously do feel for her...
But she says at least she's not making a loss by selling away all her stock...
Sometimes the SMU gang would come over to my house to swim...
There were the occasional visits to Nik's house to see YangYang...
Pre Final Exam Dinner with SMU gang @ The Cathay Billy Bombers...
It was like feasting ya last meal before ya go on to the execution ground...
Hated that feeling...
Other than their milkshakes...
Nothing at Billy Bombers is really that fantastic...
It's too oily and unhealthy for me...
Went to Celeste's house to celebrate her birthday...
Everything served on her dining table was dessert and sweet...
Huge mansion she stays in...
And i mean huge...
Last few weeks were spent preparing for projects due, exams and internship interviews...
Ya don't know how happy i was when the summer holidays came...
This must be my longest blog entry yet...

December Summary
As promised i was back in time for Christmas...
But i think i didn't enjoy Christmas this year as much as the many years i did before...
Probably cause i thought i could have done more...
Well... I fell really sick when i came back to Singapore after the Thailand trip...
I think it was because of the weather...
It was too heaty...
I did drink lotsa water when i was there but i guess it just wasn't enough...
I was so sick i even got nose bleed...
Never before in my life i felt so sick...
Nevertheless... I still managed to meet up with a few good friends...
Linda Cheh and family came over to my house for dinner...
Her daughter Cadence is already so big...
Time really flies...
She also showed me her customized car with Hello Kitty all over...
Hers wasn't as extreme as the taxi driver i saw in Thailand i told her...
It's amazing to know there's like so many people out there who love Hello Kitty...
I had lunch with Kelvin and Darlene @ Bugis Ajisen Restaurant...
Thank ya Kelvin for the white handbag...
Thank ya Darlene for the Body Shop stuffs and the Platinum Soap...
I managed to have our tradition P6 Christmas dinner @ Suntec Tony Roma's...
After that we had dessert @ Suntec Olio...
Thank ya Sok for the 2 G-strings from Victoria's Secrets...
I love it...! And i love ya too...!
Sok actually asked her relatives to get it for me all the way from the States...
Mabel invited her friends over to party on Christmas eve...
Despite their age...
They actually played musical chairs and light sticks in the function room...
Unbelievable...
I left for Marcus's house after that to celebrate Christmas with the SMU people...
We exchanged gifts and i got a Mouse Rest that looks like a blue cat...
Christmas cards from Joyce, Meiqi and Ming Fei...
Stayed over for the night... Chatting and gaming...
Spending quality time together...
We made breakfast on Christmas morning...
Egg omelettes with ham, cheese and mushroom... Yum... Yum...
I didn't mention before...
Marcus is a great cook despite his drinking habits...
I also managed to visit Kay Hock and Audrey...
I really hope Kay Hock's depression will get better...
Thank ya both for the Butterfly Handphone Accessory...
Met up with WenQi @ Tampines Starbucks...
Went shopping at G2000 with Nik where i helped him picked a few nice colour shirts...
He seems to like all the dirty colours that make a person look untidy...
Met John which was Nik's friend for the first time...
Dinner with Adeline, Friday, Nik and John @ Tampines Sakae Sushi...
By the way... Service at Sakae Sushi is really bad...
Perhaps it's only for that branch...
I never wanna go there again...
Met up with Sheryl...
Nothing seems to change for her...
Sometimes she's at her store at Bugis The Edge...
Sometimes she's flying from country to country just cause she's bored...
Was in the International Buddy Exchange Programme...
Got to know Elmar and J.R. from Switzerland...
And a few Canadians...
Chilled @ SMU Frujch...
Then @ Clarke Quay Cafe Iguana...
Their Margaritas are awesome...
Followed by karaoking till morning with SMU people @ Shenton Way Party World...
The SMU people came over to my place on New Year's eve...
We had pot luck at the BBQ pit...
I booked the BBQ pit not for BBQ but for pot luck...
Isn't that weird...?
There was ribs, nuggets, fried chicken, sandwiches, golden pillow (curry chicken in baked bread), chocolate fondue for dessert and lotsa beer... Like in barrels...
Don't know where the guys got it from...
I tried Caramel Baileys that Ziyuan brought...
I fell in love with it...
They really made themselves at home and really know how to enjoy themselves...
They actually had drinks by the jacuzzi pool...
Drank and dipped in the pool at the same time...
We kinda missed watching the fireworks though...
Everyone got wet that night...
No one was spared...
Not even Alvin who came late...
We also celebrated Meiqi's and Joyce's birthday...
What better way to spend time counting down to the new year with a group of good friends...?
I know this entry is long... Just bear with me...
But i still thought i should thank all the people who had given me Christmas gifts and spent their quality time with me...
Christmas is all about giving and spending quality time with ya loved ones...
I think in life we should always remember those who are nice to us...
That's how my Dad taught me...
And last of all...
I apologize to those i did not manage to meet up at all this holiday...
Like Gary and Xiu Zhen...
Jane especially... So sorry...
Perhaps the next holiday in summer...?

Thailand Trip
Like i mentioned before i went on a Thailand trip with the SMU people...
Seriously, it was my first time taking the budget plane at the budget terminal...
I told them i've been to places such as Europe and Korea but i've never been to Thailand...
All of them laughed at me...
So we took the Tiger Airways and off to Thailand we went...
Did ya know the pollution in Thailand is so bad, I could smell the pollution the minute we landed...
I am not exaggerating...
We went to places such as the weekend market ChaTuChak...
Oh my god...
I never knew things could be that cheap...
Some of the things they sold were things sold in Bugis Village...
Once ya know how much they are priced there...
Ya won't want to spend a single cent at Bugis Village anymore...
I went crazy shopping...
I really shopped till i dropped...
Luckily i had the guys to help me bring stuff back to Singapore...
We went to a few restaurants that had almost the same concept as Marche...
But with nicer ambience and better food especially their dessert...
We went bowling the VIP way...
The VIP room allowed us to bowl and sing ktv at the same time...
How cool was that...?
Then it was shopping, shopping and more shopping...
We came across this taxi driver who was a Hello Kitty fanatic...
Just like Vivienne...
Ya should have seen the expression on Vivienne's face when she opened the door of the taxi...
He decorated the interior of his taxi with Hello Kittys...
Everything is Hello Kitty... Tissue box is Hello Kitty, seat belt is Hello Kitty, cushion is Hello Kitty, even the speedometer is Hello Kitty...
I think ya get my point...
We took lotsa photos of the lights and everything because it was near Christmas...
I also went to the Grand Palace...
From far ya could see it as shiny as gold...
Myths and legends being drawn on the walls of the palace...
It was beautiful...
We also went to Chinatown...
In which i thought the place stinked really bad...
It was so bad i wished i could just stop breathing...
I got to try A&W again...
Really missed the root beer float and curly fries...
I think the last time i had it was when i was in Polytechnic...
Singapore used to have one in Tampines but they too closed down after some time...
Everything is cheap in Thailand...
Airline tickets are cheap, accommodation is cheap, things are cheap, food is cheap...
Even drinking beer is cheaper than drinking bottled water...
And so Marcus kinda drowned himself with beer almost every day when we were there...
Shhh... He's the alcoholic in the group... *whispering*
They even had a beer party the last night of the trip...
Where YuanRu self declared she is the 'Heineken Queen'...
Everyone got really drunk that night...
Almost everyone... Except me... I was sleeping...
We kinda got ourselves similar Abercrombie and Fitch jackets...
Make us look like some sports team...
Go Team SMU...! Haha...
It's always nice going on holiday trips with a group of friends...
On top of all the fun...
I actually got to know each and every one of them better...
I really had fun and enjoyed myself with them...

Updates
That's about the more interesting things that happened all this time...
After my exams were over...
It was more of recharging...
Getting better sleep...
Eating better food...
For the first time i am saying this...
I think i'm starting to get fat at all the wrong places...
I also managed to catch up with my Bleach anime...
Oya...
Preparing for Christmas...
Getting the Christmas tree out and up...
It's the time of the year again...
So many things to do...
And i'm like flying off to Thailand tomorrow with the SMU people...
I haven't even started packing...
It will be fun...
The rest of my friends...
Hang on...
I will be back in time to celebrate Christmas with ya guys...

Standard Chartered 'High Life' Invitation
Was invited by my Dad's priority banker Aloysious for this event at the Seletar Country Club...
Aloysious is so charming...
Ok... Anyway...
Ya won't believe what i'm gonna type here...
All the activities that happened that day was like one of the rewards the winning group of the week got in 'The Apprentice'...
It was an afternoon of socializing and shopping...
The event exhibited products such as Nokia handphones, Loewe handbags, De La Cour watches and Parmigiani watches...
They served endless flow of finger food and wine...
Here's the more exciting part...
This event also had test drives for Porsche cars...
I didn't test drive one cause i don't think i am confident enough to handle a Porsche...
So i was driven by someone in a Porsche 911 Cabriolet...
Our destination was the Seletar airport...
Dad test drove the Porsche Cayman...
The latest model...
Happily test drove the car and made me wait all alone at the Seletar airport...
I arrived first cause the person who drove me there tried to do some stunts with the car at full speed...
Next is the highlight of the whole event...
I got to experience a beautiful view of Singapore on a bell helicopter...
It was so exciting...!
Ya could even see part of Malaysia on the ride...
Flying among the clouds was breathtaking...
High life indeed...
